About me
I work where the ocean meets the human experience.
That includes helping ocean and environmental organizations do their best work, championing underappreciated species and ecosystems in the Pacific Northwest, and following strange, beautiful questions, like how seaweed has shaped North Pacific cultures.
I’m a neurodivergent systems thinker, so I experience the world through patterns, structures, and the stories they tell. I’m interested in the places where ecology, technology, culture, business, and human behaviour overlap, and what becomes possible when those relationships are better understood.
My background is broad by design. I’ve studied psychology, biology, philosophy, and business, and before focusing my work on the ocean, I worked across tech, tourism, government, and early-stage companies.
Across all of it, I’ve found myself drawn to the same kinds of problems: complex ones, interdisciplinary ones, the kind that don’t fit neatly into one category or one job title.
Today, I focus on helping organizations build the systems, structures, and operational backbone needed to protect our waters, support marine ecosystems, and do ambitious work without losing clarity, humanity, or momentum.
